Final Blog Assignment- Rachel Rosenbaum

One thing I learned in this class that is very against my southern ways and would shame my grandmother to hear is that it is not always best to be nice. Being nice won't get you very far in this field. If Steve Jobs were nice there would be no Apple, no iPads, no iPods, or iPhones. If everyone was nice and said that everything people designed was "just great don't change a thing" there would be some pretty stupid and worthless inventions in the world today. You need criticism in order to become great. You must take that criticism, no matter how harsh it is, and make your designs better. What I really learned in this class is that nice guys really do finish last. Rigorous honesty is what helps you make it to the top in this field.
