One website that I have found to have an obvious design is the new Bloomington DoubleMaps. On the side of the site, there is a little route box, and it gives several options for all of the bus route for the day for the IU Bloomington campus. It has a little switch for each option so that you can tell if the route is on or not; the switch shows a red "x" if it is not on, or it shows a green check when it is on. It also has an option to show all of the routes and to clear all of the routes. The design is obvious because it uses iconic symbols and colors to tell the user what option is selected and what it will show. No instructions are needed for new users.
