2-Danny Town

When it comes to an application/website that contains an obvious design, I first think of Indiana University's Umail. The reason why IU's Umail is an obvious design is due to how there is only one main button on the page. It is a perfect example of how Hoekman stated in the reading, "obvious designs contain a get in, get what you want, and get out affect".  There is no clutter on the Umail page and I mean no clutter at all! After using AOL and Yahoo, IU's Umail service is #1 when it comes to user friendly. All the other email services usually contain news and other unwanted links but Umail does not. It is so obvious that anyone with a Umail account does not need any type of instruction. The only other links that are on this page is if you are having trouble with logging into your account. I would not count this as clutter but only helpful resources that are there in regard to helping you log into your account if you are having trouble.
