6 - Danny Town

The user's mental model of the part of YouTube in which we redesigned is simply an organizational/pick a choice mind state. We changed how a user uploads a video reply message by directly adding three choices instead of a hidden choice of which many YouTube user's did not know about. They do not know how the actual coding works but they know how to choose one of the three options now. It gives them a easy what do I want to pick option, like a picking an answer on a survey/test.

The mental model contrasts with the implementation model because it involves more coding which creates clutter making their work less organized. Inputting video involves the developer to add another feature so the videos can be seen and viewable. All of this together, provides a tougher job for the developer and makes them have to work with more clutter while the user does not sense this. The user only simply has to decide on three choices while the developer has to create more and more.
