8-Gunnar Ernst

When I began taking this course I was not sure what exactly it was that I was getting myself into. I thought this will just be another easy class with some group projects, but boy was I wrong. I was not ready for the way this course would challenge me intellectually. I did not think that there was all these miniscule details that went into a single product or design, but it is those small details that can make or break a design/idea. I would have to say the part I was most worried about has become my favorite part of the course, and that of course is the sketching. I never thought my self to be artistically inclined. However, the more I have began to draw and make sketches the more I have realized that I am not that bad of an artist. I also learned that sketches are so pivotal to playing the whole game, it is where you first gauge how your design is going to compete with other products, and also if it is usable.
