Amazon's Design
I think that Amazon made their design specifically with the consumer in mind. At their homepage they have the typical search bar at the top of the page. They also have the different departments that you can shop from on the left side of the screen. Amazon also got creative with a suggestion portion on their homepage which remembers what you were shipping for and gives suggestions on other things you might like also.  Amazon created this home page with the consumer specifically in mind. Amazon of course would like to maximize their profit but with this design it also keeps people coming back. This design was made to make shopping easier with the easy searching capability and the fact that a consumer can return and see items like the ones they were looking for.

  1. Hi Josh, here's a little feedback on your post for next time.

    Think about how you're structuring your blog post to frame your argument, "This design was made to make shopping easier" - you probably could have led with this, it pretty much sums up your argument for the why. Then you can get into the how - how these particular elements of the site feed into that motivation. You might find this will make your blog posts flow a bit better.
