6 - Karamvir Singh

A users's mental model about the idea of leaving comments anonymously is different from a programmers, which is normal. This is because a user thinks in a different way because he/she is using it and not like the programmer who forms his opinion on how well the comment section is designed. I think the user's mental model will consist of how they don't have to create an account to comment or won't get punished for posting malicious or vulgar comments. For, instance a users account is banned if they post a malicious or vulgar comment, but now they can be posted easily without any repercussions. The programmer will think of the revised comment sections differently thank the user because they are trying to achieve different things from the same design. The programmer will think of the new comment section as a helpful way for people to ask questions and give answers quickly, rather than wasting their time creating an account.

The mental model's are different because the programmers is designing it the way it should be used, but the user(s) are using it the way they want to use.
