The website that I chose for my last blog is Youtube. Youtube is a website that allows people to view videos, and these videos range from a large variety of different topics. I believe that the motivation for the features of this website were curiosity, entertainment, and the want to spread information on a video medium. Why did the design team do this? I believe they did this because they wanted to solely make an entertainment source for their users. The website allows users to watch videos for their entertainment and this can satisfy the curiosity of their users regarding the certain topic that they are curious about. For the most part, individuals rather watch videos than read per say because videos keep the users attention much more effectively and keep them interested. The design team designed Youtube in this format to allow users easy access to certain topics. The design displays categorization and allows users to see popular videos on Youtube; and also see recommended videos based on that user's browsing history. The main reason for why the design team designed Youtube in this format is to make it user-friendly and give their users easy access to their favorite videos in order to entertain them.
