Like I stated in my last post, When it comes to an application/website that contains an obvious design, I first think of Indiana University's Umail. The reason why IU's Umail is an obvious design is due to how there is only one main button on the page. This is why they created the Umail website like this. For example in the Ted Talk, "The greatest innovative companies think alike, but when it comes to everyone else, they think different from". This quote hits the head of the hammer on the nail when it comes to Google and the reason why they create their websites a certain way. I see no other search engine or email log in page as similar as theirs. There is so little to choose from. I mean (A) it is easy to understand and (B) there is no explanation or other choice in what to do (very similar to A. sorry..) They did not create it for themselves, they created it for EVERYONE! Again, like the Ted Talk explained, they did not think the same they though differently then their competition. As a matter of fact, they did not even think harder or what else could we add, they thought less and took away less and less than everyone else. They created it for everyone, from grandmas to ten year olds. They thought basic while everyone else was thinking complex.
